I.Product Introduction

 

This product is used to evaluate the barrier performance of concrete surface coatings(such as anti-corrosion coatings,waterproof materials,etc.)against chloride ion penetration,simulate the protective effect of coatings under chloride salt corrosion conditions such as marine environments or de-icing salt,and provide data support for coating material research and development,engineering selection,and quality acceptance.

II.Product Features

 

Multifunctional Design:Compatible with both the electric flux method and the diffusion coefficient method,adaptable to different national standards.

High-Precision Measurement:Employs a digital conductivity meter or automatic data acquisition system to ensure data accuracy.

Modular structure:Detachable electrolytic cell design supports specimens of different sizes(e.g.,Φ100mm×50mm).

Corrosion-resistant materials:The electrolytic cell is made of PVC or plexiglass,and the electrodes are made of platinum/stainless steel,resistant to salt spray corrosion.

Intelligent operation:Some models are equipped with software control,which displays the current/voltage curve in real time and automatically generates reports.

 

III.Experimental Procedure for Test Plate Preparation

 

1.Fabrication of the Coated Sheet for the Experiment:150mm x 150mm coated fine paper was used as the reinforcing material.

2.Spread it evenly on the glass plate and apply the corresponding test coating according to the instructions in the manual.

3.Apply one coat of primer,then two coats of intermediate coat,and one coat of topcoat.After each coat is applied,immediately remove the measuring paper from the glass plate and hang it on a rope.Wait 24 hours before applying the next coat.

4.Repeat this process,using a wet film gauge to control the total dry film thickness of the coating to 250-300μm.

5.Three coated sheets were made using this method.After production,they were hung indoors for natural curing for 28 days,and then the thickness of the coated sheets was measured using a magnetic thickness gauge for testing.(Depending on the drying time of the paint).

 

IV.Test Methods

 

1.Cut the prepared movable coating sheet into circular specimens with a diameter of 60mm.

2.Conduct a chloride ion penetration resistance test.

3.Position the painted side of the specimen towards a 3%NaCl solution(salt water)(seawater,river water,or a sodium chloride solution of similar concentration to the one used at the construction site can be used),and the other side of the fine paper towards distilled water.Use three sets of apparatus in total.

4.Conduct the test at room temperature indoors.After 30 days,use a CL-UI concrete coagulant chloride ion analyzer to determine the chloride ion content in the distilled water.
